Watch Baltasound from the sofa
The living room looks out across Baltasound voe, where otters, seals and seabirds are regular visitors. In summer the light barely fades — the famous Shetland “simmer dim” — and in winter the aurora can dance overhead.
Unst is home to Hermaness National Nature Reserve, Muness Castle, Britain’s most northerly everything, and some of the finest coastal walking in Scotland.
